A Sterling Heights, MI Manufacturing Facility is looking for Maintenance Supervisor with strong electrical & mechanical ability. This is a long term opportunity with a solid company of 80 years. This is a hands-on supervisor position and will be responsible for repairing & maintaining large automatic production line machines. Experience welding mig, tig & arc, some fabricating. Candidate must have own tools. This position has 2 direct reports overseeing the Techs for 2nd shift. Candidate must be willing to work mandatory every other weekend (if production is running). Candidate will have the ability to use Preventive Maintenance to optimize equipment up time. Eliminate recurring emergency repairs by using the cause and effect problem-solving method. Identify corrective actions. Properly document work requests, from initial entry completion. Maintain a team first attitude to ensure clear and consistent communication. Background in varying levels of maintenance mechanics, Basic computer skills, ability to read and understand blueprints, LOTO, all facets of maintenance. Prior supervision experience a must.
